Glenmont’s New Day
January 2024 update: We are currently working to annex our new property to the city of Columbus. We will share progress as it’s made!
Looking Forward to our New Day
With the launch of our New Day several years ago, we moved away from dependency on Medicare and Medicaid towards a model based purely on spiritual ideals. Our Board has been seeking a new location for Glenmont, one that can provide the right atmosphere for healing, and that would allow us to continue to practice Christian Science nursing in accord with our high standards.
We are grateful to announce that our efforts have been successful! Glenmont has purchased 20 acres of land about 1.5 miles from our current location. The New Day is revealing a new Glenmont!
Glenmont’s New Day Capital Campaign
Glenmont’s New Day project is in full swing! We have finalized the purchase of our new property and are moving through the annexation and zoning phases. We know that there are many questions you may have! We hope to answer all of them as we move forward.
Let’s start with some basic information that we can provide:
Our mission is unwavering – ‘to serve all those whom God sends to us to be served’. We know that our new property will better serve our ministry of helping Christian Scientists in need of care.
We expect that all of our current staff will be able to serve at the new location, since it is only 1 ½ miles from our current location.
We are still accepting new patients. We prayerfully work through any new admissions as we still need to comply with guidelines from our local health department, and to ensure that we have adequate staff to meet a new patient’s needs.
We don’t have a timeline for this project as of yet, therefore we don’t know how long it will take. As plans develop, we will keep you informed.
We don’t know how much this new build will cost. We are in the beginning stages of planning the campus and assessing exactly what we need to serve our patients in today’s environment; to accommodate those with mental impositions and to ensure protection from events such as a pandemic, for example.
Glenmont’s Board has enacted a new Committee to address the funding of this project and to ensure Glenmont’s sustainability during this new build. A Capital Campaign has been created.
An architectural plan has been developed and is currently displayed in Glenmont’s lobby.
We will continue to provide more information as the project unfolds!
Many thanks to you for your prayerful support! If you are interested in financially supporting this campaign, you can contact us at 614.876.0084 and make a one-time or recurring donation.
